GOLDEN BEES SHIPPING POLICY

Last Updated: 18 August 2026

1. Overview

At Golden Bees, we are committed to getting your honey, beekeeping products and other purchases to you safely and reliably.

We use independent third-party courier services to deliver orders to customers throughout South Africa.

This Shipping Policy explains our order fulfilment process, delivery options, estimated delivery times, delivery costs, tracking arrangements and how courier-related issues are handled.

This policy is intended to operate in accordance with applicable South African law and does not remove or restrict any consumer right that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

2. Order Processing & Fulfilment

Orders are normally processed and prepared for dispatch within 1–3 business days after successful payment confirmation.

Orders placed over weekends or South African public holidays will generally begin processing on the next available business day.

Once your order has been successfully placed, you will receive an order confirmation.

Fulfilment time is separate from the courier delivery period.

3. Delivery Options

Standard Delivery

Estimated delivery time: 3–5 business days after your order has been fulfilled and dispatched.

Express Delivery

Estimated delivery time: 1–3 business days after your order has been fulfilled and dispatched.

Delivery times are estimates and may vary depending on your location, courier operations and circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Delivery estimates are not guaranteed delivery dates unless a specific delivery date has been expressly agreed with you.

4. Delivery Partners

Golden Bees uses independent third-party courier companies to deliver customer orders throughout South Africa.

Our current delivery partners include:

  • Aramex
  • The Courier Guy

The courier used for your order may depend on factors such as your delivery location, delivery service selected, parcel size and weight, availability and operational requirements.

Once your order has been dispatched, we will provide the applicable tracking information so that you can monitor your delivery.

Golden Bees does not guarantee that a particular courier will be used for every order unless a specific courier has been expressly agreed with you before purchase.

5. Delivery Costs

Applicable delivery charges will be displayed during checkout before you complete your purchase.

Free standard delivery is available on qualifying orders over R2,000.

Delivery charges may vary depending on the delivery option selected, destination, order size, weight and any applicable promotion.

The applicable delivery charge will be shown to you before you complete your order.

6. Delivery Coverage

Golden Bees currently delivers to addresses within South Africa.

We currently do not offer international delivery.

Delivery availability and delivery times may vary for certain remote or difficult-to-reach areas.

Please ensure that your delivery address and contact information are accurate and complete before placing your order.

7. Estimated Delivery Times

Our current estimated timeframes are:

  • Order fulfilment: 1–2 business days
  • Standard delivery: 3–5 business days after dispatch
  • Express delivery: 1–3 business days after dispatch

For example, a standard delivery may take approximately 4–7 business days from order placement, consisting of the fulfilment period plus the estimated courier delivery period.

These timeframes are estimates and may be affected by circumstances outside Golden Bees' reasonable control.

8. Courier Delays & Courier-Related Problems

Golden Bees uses independent third-party courier companies to transport and deliver customer orders.

Although we carefully select our delivery partners and provide the courier with the information required to complete delivery, courier operations are outside the direct control of Golden Bees.

Golden Bees cannot guarantee the performance, delivery times, routing, tracking systems or operational availability of any third-party courier.

Courier-related problems may include:

  • Courier delays;
  • Missed delivery attempts;
  • Tracking delays or technical issues;
  • Route changes;
  • Courier operational disruptions;
  • Temporary service interruptions;
  • Weather-related disruptions; and
  • Other circumstances arising solely from the courier's operations or circumstances outside Golden Bees' reasonable control.

Golden Bees will not be responsible for losses or delays caused solely by circumstances outside our reasonable control, subject always to any rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded under South African law.

If you experience a courier-related problem, please contact us. We will make reasonable efforts to assist you and, where appropriate, communicate with the relevant courier to investigate the matter.

9. Incorrect Delivery Information

Customers are responsible for providing accurate and complete delivery information at checkout.

This includes:

  • Full delivery address;
  • Correct postal code;
  • Valid telephone or mobile number; and
  • Any important delivery or access instructions.

Incorrect or incomplete information supplied by the customer may result in delivery delays, failed delivery attempts or additional delivery charges.

Where additional costs arise because of incorrect or incomplete information supplied by the customer, the customer may be responsible for those costs, subject to applicable law.

10. Failed Delivery Attempts

If a courier is unable to complete a delivery, the courier may contact you using the contact information supplied with your order.

A delivery attempt may fail because the recipient is unavailable, the address is incorrect or incomplete, access to the delivery location is unavailable, or for another reason relating to the delivery.

Please ensure that someone is available to receive your order where required.

If a parcel is returned to Golden Bees because of information supplied incorrectly by the customer or repeated unsuccessful delivery attempts attributable to the customer, additional delivery arrangements or charges may apply.

11. Order Tracking

Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive the available tracking information.

This may include:

  • Dispatch confirmation;
  • Courier tracking number; and
  • Instructions or a link for tracking your parcel.

Tracking information may take some time to become active after the courier receives the parcel.

12. Damaged Deliveries

Please inspect your parcel as soon as reasonably possible after delivery.

If your order arrives visibly damaged, or if the contents appear damaged or defective, please contact Golden Bees as soon as reasonably possible.

Please provide:

  • Your full name;
  • Order number;
  • Clear photographs of the outer packaging;
  • Clear photographs of the damaged product; and
  • A short description of the problem.

Please keep the original packaging and damaged product until Golden Bees has advised you whether they are required for investigation or a courier claim.

Damaged, defective or incorrect goods will be dealt with in accordance with our Return & Refund Policy and applicable South African consumer law.

13. Missing or Delayed Orders

If your order has not arrived within a reasonable period after the estimated delivery timeframe, please contact us so that we can investigate the delivery with the relevant courier.

Please provide your order number and tracking information where available.

Golden Bees will make reasonable efforts to assist with locating delayed or missing parcels.

Where applicable South African law provides you with a remedy relating to non-delivery, delayed delivery or other failure to supply goods as agreed, nothing in this policy limits that right.

14. Delivery Responsibility & Courier Services

Golden Bees uses independent third-party courier companies, including Aramex and The Courier Guy, to transport and deliver customer orders.

Once a parcel has been handed to the selected courier, the physical transportation and delivery of the parcel are performed by that independent courier.

Golden Bees does not control the courier's employees, vehicles, routes, delivery schedules, tracking systems or operational decisions.

Accordingly, Golden Bees cannot be held responsible for delays, missed delivery attempts, tracking problems, route changes, operational disruptions or other courier-related problems that arise solely from the independent courier's actions or from circumstances outside Golden Bees' reasonable control.

However, Golden Bees will make reasonable efforts to assist customers with courier-related problems and, where appropriate, communicate with the relevant courier to investigate the matter.

Nothing in this section excludes or limits any liability, consumer right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under South African law.

15. Bulk & Large Orders

Golden Bees offers bulk honey orders from 7 kg and upwards, subject to availability.

Large or bulk orders may require different delivery arrangements depending on the total weight, quantity and destination.

If you require an order exceeding the quantities available on our website, please contact us before placing the order.

We will provide the applicable pricing and delivery arrangements based on your requirements.

16. Weekends & South African Public Holidays

Business days exclude weekends and South African public holidays unless otherwise stated.

Orders placed during weekends or public holidays will generally be processed on the next available business day.

Public holidays may therefore affect both fulfilment and delivery timeframes.

17. Circumstances Beyond Our Reasonable Control

Golden Bees will not be responsible for delays or failures caused by circumstances that are genuinely outside our reasonable control.

These circumstances may include:

  • Severe weather;
  • Flooding;
  • Natural disasters;
  • Road closures;
  • Major transport disruptions;
  • Strikes or industrial action affecting third-party services;
  • Courier-wide operational disruptions;
  • Power or telecommunications failures;
  • Government restrictions or actions; or
  • Other events that could not reasonably have been prevented or avoided by Golden Bees.

This section does not apply where Golden Bees is legally responsible for the relevant failure or where applicable law provides the customer with a remedy.

18. Delivery Policy Changes

Golden Bees may update this Shipping Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our delivery partners, delivery options, business operations or applicable legal requirements.

Any updates will be published on this page with a revised Last Updated date.
